About Us

It all started one day when I realized that we could all make a difference in people’s lives even in the smallest ways. As all of us usually do, I volunteer, I try to donate and attend church regularly but something was still missing. I was going through some rough times and feeling overwhelmed and started praying.

All of a sudden (I can’t explain why) I started having memories of how happy my kids would feel whenever they heard the ice cream truck. They would rush to the house to find a dollar or two laying around.

I remember specifically one day when my oldest child couldn’t find a dollar and the disappointment he felt as his younger sister and brother were impatiently standing in line holding their dollar bill and waiting for their treat.

His little face broke my heart as he said, “I did not find a dollar.” The nice ice cream man looked at him and asked him what he wanted and he said, “Nothing, sir.” The gentleman insisted, “Come on bud, pick one. It’s on me.” I cannot describe the happiness that he felt and the gratitude that I felt when I saw the way his eyes lighted up when he heard those words. 

Sometimes the little things make a bigger impact than what we think…..especially in the world of a child.
